Cdt Edward Inkster of Alnwick Detachment has won the coveted top cadet trophy in the recent Royal Regiment of Fusiliers cadet competition held at Ashington TA Centre.

Cdt Inkster, pictured above with his trophy and medal, managed to hold his own against more than 50 cadets from across the whole of Northumberland.

Detachment Commander, SSI Ralph Brown, said: "We're all very proud of Cdt Inkster's efforts. His performance reflects the high level of commitment he and the rest of the team put into the event."
