Two teams from Northumbria ACF attended the Regional First Aid Competition at Driffield last weekend.
The teams, one from W Company the other a combination of Y and Z Company cadets, used their first aid skills to deal with a variety of scenarios against the clock and marksheet.
The exceptionally skilled first aiders of Yorkshire North & West ACF took top position again this year, with the W Company team coming a very creditable fourth place out of the twelve teams competing. The margin between the top teams was very small, with literally a few points between them. The combined Y and Z Company team came in seventh position overall.
The W Company team was formed by CSgt Craig Holman (Belford), LCpl Rachel Richardson (Alnwick), LCpl Hannah Rogerson (Alnwick) and LCpl Elliott Lewis-Douglas (Belford). A special mention goes to team leader CSgt Holman who must have been shattered having just returned from the Master Cadets Course a day earlier.
Well done to everyone competing in the event. Hopefully next year we can improve on our position.
