The Company held an NCO cadre to develop the instructional/leadership skills of our junior cadet NCOs (LCpls and Cpls). We made the course residential to pack in as much as we could, but there was time on Saturday night for pizza and entertainment. The karaoke was a huge success, apart from a few of the bigger kids hogging it all night! Nobody knew what a fine voice the 2IC had...
County Football, 3 December 2011
The County's annual 6-a-side football tournament was held at the Parks Leisure Centre, North Shields earlier today. Y Company, from Newcastle and the south west of the County, won the tournament overall, giving them an important early lead in this year's Champion Company competition. There's always next year!
W Company Weekend, 25-27 November 2011
The Company attended its third weekend of the year at the Cadet Training Centre, Otterburn Camp. The cadets rotated around a number of training stands including the DCCT range, 25 m Barrack Range and Obstacle Course. The seniors spent Saturday evening out on a night navigation exercise.
Northumbria ACF Wins Colts Canter, 2 Oct 2011:
Y Company are crowned ACF champions at the annual 15 (NE) Brigade cadet military skills competition, Colts Canter. Team W Company finish in 13th place, well ahead of X and Z Companies but off the blistering pace set by victors Y Company. More photos will be added here shortly...
Berwick Detachment High Sheriff Visit, 20 Sept 2011:
The High Sheriff of Northumberland, The Reverend Fiona Sample, visited Berwick Detachment, Northumbria Army Cadet Force, on Tuesday 20th September.
JCIC TPs, 16 July 2011:
The senior cadets of W Company were put through their paces earlier today, when they completed their JCIC teaching practices at Alnwick TA Centre.

Team W Company have just come a very creditable second place in the annual Northumbria ACF military skills competition, Northumbrian Warrior.

W Company Fieldcraft Weekend, 3-5 June 2011:
Almost 100 cadets from W Company took part in fieldcraft training on the windswept Otterburn training area.

Berwick Belgium Battlefield Tour, April 2011:
Ten cadets and three adult instructors have recently returned from a
twelve day visit to the WW1 battlefield sites in Belgium & the
National Arboretum at Alrewas, Staffordshire.
County Athletics, 30 April 2011:
The cadets of W Company compete in Northumbria ACF's annual athletics championship, which was held at Monkton Stadium on 30th April 2011.
